Exceptional Deployment Engineers are sought to join an ambitious, well-funded high-performance computing and research group based in New York City. These hires are expected to contribute to the development of scientific workflow systems, deployment of software and infrastructure, standardization of tools, regression testing, configuration management, and/or third-party support for our simulation tools packages.
Ideal candidates will have strong Python programming and scripting experience, exceptional communication skills, and a demonstrated track record of academic, industrial, and/or open source accomplishments. Other relevant areas of expertise might include high-throughput workflows, structured and unstructured data management and analysis, distributed systems software, software release management, automation testing, and quality assurance, but specific knowledge of any of these areas is less critical than a track record of achievement and innovation.
Our group is developing multiple generations of the Anton supercomputer, a massively parallel special-purpose machine that speeds up molecular dynamics simulations by orders of magnitude and is designed in part to fundamentally transform the process of drug discovery.
