We are a small, dedicated team of Computational and Optical Physicists, Biomedical Engineers, and Biochemists engaged in the development of Fourier Ptychographic Microscopy (FPM), a new technology which is revolutionizing whole-slide imaging technology in medicine. (For an overview of FPM, please see: http://www.biophot.caltech.edu/publications/pdf/GZ_Wide-field-high-resolution-FPM_draft.pdf .) We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to work as part of our existing software team, as we bring our FPM instruments into production. This position entails three primary types of software development, namely, high-performance numerical computing (, including GPU-based programming), User-interface design and implementation, and Hardware / Software interface. As such, a suitable developer must have a diverse skill-set, and must be comfortable with moving back and forth between these specialties. Further, a strong scientific or mathematical background is absolutely essential.
